Things I wish I could have

Okay, so I do a lot of online shopping and browsing for things which I want but can't afford for what ever reason. This is mainly out of boredom. So if anyone ever wants to take me out, feel free to!

I thought I'd start an online little collection of the things I would like. To share but also to keep for myself so maybe I can come back to this one day and go 'Oh yeah! I'm rolling in the doe, I can afford that now!'

(Also, keep checking back here as I will update this frequently. On the left hand side of a blog under 'More...' you can find a quick link :) )

So I'll start this collection off with the really beautiful silver crane necklace. Oh, so pretty!!

Just a moment to say...

... I've had a wonderful time with Daniel and his 24/7 company. Whilst my parents have been on holiday in far away countries, Dan & I have been looking after the house, chickens, cats and fish.

My parents are home tomorrow so this blissful two weeks will end!

Dan and I also took time to design a project together based on my parents eggs and honey. You can see that in a few previous posts.

I just want to say thank you to my Daniel for a lovely time. We'll be definitely great living together later on this year!

The Rectory Packaging

This project is based on a local business that produces organic, fresh produce. The packaging includes eggs, honey, milk and bread. The packaging is a true reflection of the owner's values- pure, honest, organic and fresh items. Collaboration project with Daniel Haigh.

Chicken scan

We also have some young chicks and this little one hasn't seemed to grow for a few weeks so it's still tiny and makes a cute little squeak noise. She likes the warmth of hands and when you talk to her. Here's her cute little chicken feet :)

Cat Scan!

Quite literally...

We have a tiger below and the rest are fluffy.

And I may have tempted her to stay still with treats!

Guest blogger ... published!

So a few months ago I was researching my dissertation topic of 'Inspirational Women in Design' and came across a blog named Snap2Objects which listed '30 designers that changed the world'. After looking through these designers, I noticed only two of these were women. After leaving a comment, I was asked if I'd like to be a guest blogger and write a couple of articles about female designers. So, with no further a due.. here is my article...

Enjoy the read and as always, let me know what you think!

Artist Rosie Ablewhite

A few weeks ago, I asked Rosie if she could do me a painting of my Dad on a stone for his birthday. I wanted something which was different, unusual and something which would be a conversation starter. My Dad keeps bees in the bottom of the garden so I asked her to paint his portrait. A week later and this is the beautiful outcome. Talented Rosie, is the new artist in residence of Lincoln Art Works.  She draws and paints beautiful portraits of well-known people and celebrities. Her work is fantastic.

Here are some photos of this beautiful piece.
